Dance Rehearsal — all dress up with makeup
I picked up Mimi to go to Callie’s house to set up her hair and make up.
The studio handed a package with 2-page instruction on make up and hair. I didn’t understand most of them (and happy to know that I am not the only one confused). To summarize, we have to apply three different layers of eye shadow (white, light brown and dark brown), put “dark red” lipsticks and mascara (not happening to her right now!). Most confusing part is the hair. We have to do a “puff” on the top of the hair with a high pony tail.
After the detail explanation and demonstration from Laura (Callie’s mom), it looks like the top of Japanese gaisha.
It was a very hectic and stressful day to prepare for the stage. My subject is not willing for me to take any more pictures than what I had. Here they are:
Laura’s demonstration on hair (BTW, her kitchen is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!)
Did you see my “Puff”?
Hungry for food after the the rehearsal.
Can you see my eye shadow?
