Mimi’s Summer Plan?

Summer has started.  Mimi spent one very happy week (i.e. no gym, no school, no homework, no piano, no reading, etc) after the school was over.  Now the summer chapter is officially starting, we need to make some plans for the next two months to come.

Here is what we are planning for the summer:

Every morning, Mimi starts her gymnastic training at 8:30am.  The lesson will last until 12:30pm.  Most of the time, Mimi will stay in the gym for the afternoon.  In some cases, there will be birthday parties, play dates, and other activites in between.

On Thursday night, Mommy will take Mimi to watch the community firework for the 4th of July celebration.   The next day, mommy’s friend, Michelle’s family will arrive.  We will start our week long play trip to Corning, Darian Lakes, and of course, Niagara Falls.

Shortly after they leave, we will start our packing/moving project.  The movers come on 7/8 and will finish moving on 7/9.  We will start our new life in the new house in two weeks.

At the end of July, daddy plans to come back for a two-week stay.  In addition to getting our new house ready for the final touch, we also will plan for a few days trip to NYC.   We hope to be able to see Cirque du Soleil and broadway performances.

On the 2nd weekend of August, we will head to DC to attend mommy’s cousin’s wedding.  We hope to be able to go to Smithsonian Museum one day.  We will also see grandpa, grandma, grand uncle and grand auntie.

Mimi will still continue her weekly drawing and piano class.  In the mean time, we will also work on the summer book list so she can continue her reading habit on a regular basis.  We will also work on 4th grade math review so we will not forget what we have learned last year.

If everything goes well, we will go to Japan to visit daddy for the last two weeks of summer.

Well, it seems like a very good plan.  Stay tuned for upcoming Mimi Summer Coverage Series.
