Trip with HS — Day One

HS and her family did not arrive until late Friday night (well, it should be early Saturday morning at 4am, to be precise).  Their spirit seemed to be great and I can see Sammy and Michelle were certainly not bothered by the long trip (unlike their aging parents).

For the first day, Ms. A-How, the super tour guide, had a light plan arranged.  We started with a tour around campus.  After lunch, I took our group to the site specially requested by HS — cherry picking.  Little did I know, most of the sweet cherries were either picked or rippened.  What was left there would not be appealing.  Well….  The super tour guide will not let a small road block ruin our long waited trip.  If there is no cherry picking, we will find something else to pick.  Read on for more details…….

For the first day, these girls are at least 5 inches apart when taking a pictures.  I guess it will take a while for them to form their friendship?

This is one of my hiding places during the lunch hour — close enough to my office but far away from the crowd.  If there were AC, it will be PERFECT!!

Cornell’s one of the landmark — beautiful Sage Chapel with high cathedral ceiling.  Note that most of the angelic portraits were done by small pieces of tiles (by hand).   The level of details and efforts put into these portraits were impressive.
