Trip with HS — Day 1 (Continued)
Children are running a messiah from the podium?
Another landmark of Cornell University — the Clock Tower. This has been the symbol of the university for years. Sevearl years ago in Halloween, there was a prank ran by someone. An unknown individual put a pumpkin at the top of the tower. The pumpkin sat on the tip of the tower for weeks before it broke a part. It is still the mystery until today on how it happened and who did it. The theory is that the pumpkin was air-lifted to the top of the tower since there was no easy access to that tip of the point. The incident is now written into the university history.
The other side of Sage Chapel. This room happened to be open. I have not been there before either. It is a bit scary with sculpture lying down on something that looks like coffin.
Will he wake up and join us in the photo?
Finally, we ended our tour with a picture at the back of Uris Library. This is one of the good spot to see the Fingerlakes.
Lunch at Ithaca Bakery (which used to be Hopes Way). Children’s table.
Making progress. We are getting closer — only 3 inches apart now.
