We Are A Great Team!!
Since daddy left in May, Mimi and I have been leaning on each other. We are closer to each other than we were before. With the end of the school events, the big move, house for sale, our trip with HS and other daily activities, I do not believe I can ask for a better pal to be on my team.
Mimi has grown quite a bit of skills when mommy is busy. A few days ago in the morning, mommy was on the phone with grandma. Grandma was in the hospital for another emergency visit and mommy was very worried. Mommy stayed on the phone with grandma and lost track of time. Mimi started packing for her own lunch and getting ready for her gym camp. By the time mommy rushed to get her lunch box ready, it was almost done….
Mimi was washing her fruit and packed that for her snack box.
A few days ago, Mimi learned that daddy is going to postpone his trip to Ithaca. She was very disappointed that she can not do her “Daddy’s Camp”. We tried to process this together and put things in perspective but I understand it is hard for her to accept.
My girl, life is full of surprises. Sometimes these are good but sometimes things do not turn out the way we hope for. I hope you will still be the happy girl we always know and yet be strong enough to take whatever challenges ahead. I promise, as long as I can, I will be there with you.
Since our new house have more storage, we have easier access to some of our fine China and cute containers. I have been serving fruit to Mimi in a cup. She sometimes likes to serve her fruit with yogurt but not that particular evening….
