Garage Sale
With the help from moving company, our move was done quite efficiently and painless. However, we realize that we have collected so many household items that we either no longer need, or we do not even know of its existence (let along to use it). In order to clear up the space, we decided to do a garage sale.
Mimi and I went to other people’s garage sale numerous times. However, we have never hosted one ourselves. After checking the weather, mommy decided to host a garage sale on Sunday (becuase it was EXTREMELY hot and humid on Saturday. Mommy couldn’t stand the heat…)
Mimi helped to make a sign for the sale. She did that during the piano tuning time. This is the only quiet activity she can find at that time.
She carefully planned for the direction so that we have both ways to point people to the event.
Upon completion.
Her sign on display.
Since Mimi was in the sleep-over in Ania’s house, mommy was the only one doing the garage sale at the beginning. Unfortunately, mommy was enjoying the evening without Mimi too much and too late that she overslept. The moving sale started at 1pm and she woke up at 12:30pm. She rushed to the old house to open up the garage door and set up the sign…..
Overall, there weren’t that many people coming by. We did not spend much time advertising or organizing our stuffs better. These are to be left for daddy to do when he returns.
Mimi and Ania joined us at the last half an hour. They were great helpers. Both have the potential to be a good sales rep.
Here are the photos:

We made about $180 from the two hours sale. It is not a bad deal. I took these two hungry girls to Wegman for dinner to reward their “hard work”.
It was a very rewarding weekend!!
