World Trade Center — 911
Mimi is probably one of the few people at her generation who has been to World Trade Center. On August of 2001, we took Mimi for a trip to New York City. At that time, we were debating that whether or not we should pay a visit to the center. Daddy said “it will always be here” but I insisted that we should at least be to the top of the building.
At that time, none of us knew less than a month later, this beautiful building will fall into pieces of debrids…… The world changed after since.
Mimi asked me many hard questions after visiting this place:
— Who did this?
— Why did they do this?
— How many people died?
— Why do people have to die?
My girl, you have no idea how big the questions you have asked. There is no simple answer to the question. There is always different view of telling the same story. With little that I know, I know I do not have the “correct” answer for you. The world is waiting for you to explore and you might be able to find your own answer through your exploration.
If there is any take-home moment for you from this visit, I wish you remember this:
If you were ever been on the cross road, do not forget that it is always love and courage that keep us going forward, not hatred and bias.
Hope you understand…..
