An Unexpected Day Off
When you were celebrating the National Day in Taiwan, we were celebrating “Columbus Day” here in US. Regardless of the origin, this gives us a longer weekend (at least for school). Unfortunately, Cornell does not have a day off at the federal holiday. Mommy still has to work.
On Friday morning, Mimi was begging mommy not to send her to the full day camp. She was whispering in my ears by the pillow — how can you resist that.
Mommy decided to call the office and take a day off. It was a beautiful day outside — warm, breezy with a beautiful blue sky. We CAN NOT waste a beautiful day like this. What should we do???
Let’s start with a big breakfast — Whole wheat toast, dumpling, yogurt, and fruit/vege.
Soon, there were only empty bowls left.
We started our day with what Mimi has been asking for a long time — a hair cut at beauty salon.
