First CU Outdoor Concert

Every summer, Cornell hosts free outdoor concert on Friday afternoon.  This is a good time to come to the big Ag Quad and bring picnic food for dinner and enjoy music (and sometimes dance too).

Mimi and I went to the 1st concert this year with Ania’s family.  We always enjoy going out with them.  Fumi and Muha are the most free-spirit people we know.  You can always strike a good conversation and good laugh with them.

We parked far away because of the construction near the Quad.  The girls had to hike up the hill to the concert.

You can tell they don’t like the walk.

By the time we got there, they were HUNGRY.

Cornell Dairy Bar serves ice cream during the concert.  Usually, there are free ice creams for the 1st concert.  I guess the budget cut really has an impact to everything on campus.  There is no more free ice cream.

Still, the line was long.

And it is worth it.

At the end of the concert, we marched to the big patio by Olin Library.  The stone tiles on the ground have a special acoustic effect.  If you throw rock on the tiles, it will create a special echo.

Of course, our girls can’t wait for the experiment.
