Construction Project in the Backyard
On Wednesday, the construction crew mommy hired started cleaning up the debris in the backyard. The prior owner cut quite a few trees and piled these chunks in the backyard. These are fire hazzard. Mommy asked the “tree guy” for an inspection. There are a few dead trees we need to cut off. If we do not do that now, these dead tree can be easily knocked down by wind and damage our house.
This is the first time that Mimi got to see construction action up close and person — at our own backyard. She and Lucy were observing these action from a warm and comfortable distance — in our family room, while mommy was out there taking pictures in the cold breeze.

The guy was guiding the truck to back up to the edge of the slope. What were they doing?
The soil erosion was pretty serious in the backyard. To prevent that (and to preserve the trees at the edge of the slope), mommy asked the tree guys to dump the mulch on the slope. With the volumn of the tree chunks being processed, we have quite a few big loads of mulch now landed on our backyard.

It was raining for the last few days. Mommy wasn’t able to take the “after” picture. It will be uploaded sometimes next week. Stay tuned.
