NYC, Here We Come!!
Friday morning, Mommy brought Jordan to Ania’s house at 9am sharp. We left for our trip to the city shortly after.
Mommy spent the whole night cleaning up the house from the party the night before. It was not a surprise that she quickly fell sound asleep after the ride. It felt like only half an hour (for her) before they arrived at the city. Of course, there were several episode of snack time, movie time, fighting time, and potty breaks, etc. I guess I missed them all.
Muha knows his way around the city very well. We just found that he used to live in the city years ago (before Ania and Fumi). It makes me wonder how he looks like in his “prior life” before Ithaca?
We all got excited when entering the bridge (not sure if that was Brooklyn Bridge or Washington Bridge). The landscape certainly looked different.
Our friend, Betsy, recommended us to go to a restaurant by Madison Square Gardan. It’s called Stage Door. They are well known for their dessert specialty. What I didn’t know is the portion of their meal.
Once you are seated, the server immediately brought complimentary pickle and salad.
One salad served per person.
Mimi and I ordered her favorite, Reuben sandwitch. We didn’t realize that the sandwitch was so huge. It is enough for two grown ups.
Fumi and Ania also ordered sweet patato fries. Those were YUMMY. The girls couldn’t keep their paws away from it.
Mimi didn’t wear her jacket (and we got into a little fight because of that). Still, I want to order something warm for her. Their clam chowder was ok.
Can’t wait for the show.
The hungry duet.
Because we were going to have dinner shortly after the play, we decided to order one dessert to share. The girl had a hard time deciding what to order from the menu. Finally, they decided to order the red velvet cake.
Like Betsy said, it was GOOD!!
This girl is cleaning the plate.
Whlie this girl is licking her finger…..
After the lunch, our team marched to our next destination — Madison Square Garden.
These two didn’t forget to fool around.
