First Time at A&W

Friday after work, Mommy took Mimi to Syracuse to attend the “Pinky Stone Invite” Meet for Saturday morning.

On our way there, we join Kiersten’s family for dinner.  They recommened to stay at A&W for dinner in Cortland.  Mimi has never been there and was very excited.

This is an “all American” restaurant.  What that means is that it serves msotly hamberger, fries, and hot dogs.  No apparent sign for vegetable and fruit.  If you are a vegetarian and don’t like fried food, there is almost no place for you.

This is a very economical place to have dinner.  You will find all walks of life.  They do not necessary come here for the food, but sometimes for the atmosphere.  You can eat in the restaurant or at your own vehicle.

If you dial in from the machine, the waitress will bring your food to your car and collect money.  They even have a little stand to be set up by your window so it won’t get dirty in your car.

We decided to sit down and eat in the restaurant.

The waitress will not come to collect your order.  Instead, you will call to place your order.  (Mimi, you really need to work on the way you sit.  It is not lady-like.)

It’s the regular greasy American food.

These two were happy to enjoy their food.  Kiersten is also a level 7 gymnast.  This is her 3rd year as the level 7.  She had been through numerous injuries and recovery.  Hopefully, she will be able to compete the whole term.

The DS Girls.

After the dinner, we each went to our own hotel.
