Saturday Night — Making Bread

We had dinner at home on Saturday night.

Mommy bought pea but doesn’t know how to cook them.  She thought she can cook the pods and eat them too.  Apparently, they came with too much fiber that makes them hard to chew.  Guess that’s not a good stir-fried ingredient.

We had a few things we both wanted to do on Saturday night.  After dinner, mommy started making special sweet bread.  She defrosted the frozen bread dough in the morning.  By the time, it was ready to be baked.

At the same time, Mimi was finishing up her stained glass art project from Michelle’s drawing class.  It’s a pretty complicated project requiring lots of attention to details (and good handwork).

Mommy was using dried milk, butter and sugar to make the stuffing to the bread.

As usual, it came with the element of surprise.  Not all the bread turned out to be good.

This one is pretty decent.

But not this one.  I guess the trick is close up the bread so that the stuffing will not be exposed to dry heat.

Even though it doesn’t look good, surprisingly, Mimi likes it quite a bit.  She ate a few already.
