Spend A Day with Mimi
After the birthday party, Mimi and mommy were both exhausted. Mimi had unwrapped all her presents and helped with the clean up. We slept late on Sunday morning. We decided to go to the brunch restaurant that Ellie and Janice took Mimi a few weeks ago.
As we arrived in the Commons, we found that the restaurant was not open. However, there were quite a few other places that neither one of us ever visited. We decided to have a little adventure of our own.
We found a nice small establishment by the toy store. Of course, Mimi was patroling the store while mommy stay in the line waiting to be seated and ordered.
One thing we always do is to look for a restaurant with crowd. Since this is an indication of good food and popularity, we thought that is it.
The store has a pretty interesting decor, very earthy. You find your own place to sit.
The place we really want is by the window so we can see the outside view in the Commons. Maybe next time?
Mimi ordered their smoothy. It came with banana for their thickness. Apparently, not her style. Mommy finished almost the rest of the drink.
We ordered their “most famous” waffle. They claimed it’s made of organic wheat flour, which will be very popular in a town like Ithaca. Everyone likes to have organic diet with healthy choices. Unfortunately, I have to say that it does bring down the taste.
Mimi immediately expressed her opinion of the healthy meal. The waffle taste a bit on the dry side and the texture wasn’t as rich as the normal flour waffle. Their ice cream was another disappointment. You can even taste crushed ice in your bite. Mimi also ordered their chili. It was……. ok.
I guess we will not come back to visit this restaurant again.
For a split brunch, that’s how much it cost. Priced reasonably but we probably will not visit here again.
Since we are in the Commons, Of course Mimi wanted to visit one of her favorite 2nd place clothes store. This little girl is an experience shopper. You can see her flipping through the rack without any hesitation.
She already got a bargain sale Friday night at the mall, mostly tops. So she is now looking for pants, shorts, and skirts.
After harvesting what she picked, we went to Emma’s house for a little play date and finished the beautiful Sunday.
