NYC Trip — Dinner at La Mirabelle
This was the restaurant recommended by Teri, Elizabeth’s mother. It’s not located in the busiest street. However, I think most of the patrons who frequent this establishment got “hooked” from their first visit — including me.
Many of the servers in this restaurant speak French. Their menu is written in French, with English translation. Thanks to Teri’s reservation, we were taken to our table without any wait time.
Teri’s family has been coming here for decades. I realize that this is really a good place for family. The waiter will remember your name (and probably what you like). You are treated like a family (of course, their food was awesome).
Elizabeth and jordan shared their salad.
They both decided to order plain pasta. I was hoping that mimi would order the steak so that we can share…..
Mommy ordered roasted duck. It was so great that I completely forgot to take any photo of it.
Their dessert was another feature. Elizabeth wanted to order the mango sorbet. Of course, Mimi would follow along. Mommy already had her eyes on one of the fruit tart displayed on our way to the table. She just had a hard time deciding between peach or berries…..
This is Mimi’s sorbet.
I will have to say that this was the perfect ending of the day. The restaurant not only offered good food, with fresh ingredient and beautiful presentation, but also warm hospitality that makes you want to come back again.
