A Very Busy Weekend …… Starting with Piano Festival
“Festival” is an once a year event where students will be evaluated for their piano skills. Each child works very hard to put together the best performance.
Mimi was quite nervous before her performance. She did her best to practice but she couldn’t spare as much time as desired. Luckily, Merilee, our piano teacher, choose the piece that reflect Mimi’s personality. It’s easy for her to do a good job with her piece.
The student will have to memorize his/her piece and performance in front of the judge. No one else — not teacher nor parents, were allowed to be there.
Once the door is closed — YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!!
Mommy stood outside to listen to Mimi’s performance. It was pretty good (of course, from a grand piano in a church — all the acustic effects) but not without some minor “oops”.
Apparently, the judget thought her piece is good enough to warrant a “superior” ranking. Good Job Mimi!!
