Not Getting It Back — AGAIN!!
A few days ago, Mimi told mommy that Mrs. Morton, her science teacher, said that she would like to keep the poster Mimi made from her last homework assignment, Dangerous Atmosphere. I asked Mimi if other children got their assignment back. She said yes but most of the children threw their project back in the recycling bin.
She said Mrs. Morton wanted to keep her poster as an example for her future classroom. I guess in a way, it’s a compliment that Mimi did a pretty good job. But so far, we haven’t got any of our posters back…..
I am the kind of mom who keeps almost everything that her child made/created/touched/wrote on, etc. At the end of the year, I always end up with a big binder of records from her school works, extra-curriculum activities, and family outings. I was quite excited that Mimi starts working on projects that will demonstrate a higher level of skill set. I was hoping that I can at least keep the first poster she made.
The only comfort I got was that at least I took plenty of photos from each of the project…. It’s better than nothing, I guess.
