Mimi’s First Day to Work!!
Remember a few months ago, Mimi had gone through her first interview process for a summer volunteer job?
After a few days of rest from our trip to Paris, Mimi started her first day of work today, 7/11/2012.
As expected, she had a hard time getting up in the morning. She kept saying to herself “I am really not a morning person”.
Hmmm….. If that is the case, you will probably have a pretty hard time for the next 40 years of your life. Of course, if she can find herself a really easy job, or win a lottery, the problem is solved!!
Here is my little girl and she is ready to embark her first day of work!!
Mimi’s first supervisor, Wendy.
Remark 1: At around 3pm, Mommy got an email from Wendy. She said “Jordan did a splendid job today. She was very productive and was a big help. Looking forward to having her back tomorrow!!” Thank you, Wendy, for your time and efforts to help this little girl to excel!
Remark 2: After Mimi finished her job at Wendy’s, she took Mimi directly to gymnastic practice. There was at least a two-hour gap before she starts her practice. Mommy asked Melissa (our coach) if there could be something Mimi can do this afternoon.
This is what Melissa is planning for Mimi to do (per Melissa’s email):
I had her spend a few minutes helping to tidy the mats in the gym following the end of our day program this afternoon with a staff member. I will have her shadowing/helping out with a Girls Super Stars class (coached by Lauren today) from 4:15-5:15pm. While she won’t be spotting the kids, I thought it would be good for her to share her knowledge and suggestions when it comes to some rudimentary skills with the younger gymnasts.
She was very excited — i gave her a staff shirt and everything!!
Melissa and Wendy, thank you SO MUCH for your willingness to invest on a child to build her skills and talents.
