Mimi got an award!!
Mimi came home last night talking about she was elected to be the Quarter of the Student this week. We didn’t know what was going on. According to Mimi, she said that “everyone” receives this award — it is a matter of time.
This morning, mommy looked up the school calendar and found that there is a Quarter of the Student award ceremony scheduled tomorrow morning. Mommy called the school to find out what is going on. The person asked “did you receive a letter about the award?” I answered “No.”
She said “That’s strange. Jordan is on the list ot receive an award tomorrow.”
As it turns out, the letter was mailed to our old house and was returned to school.
The person further explained to me that the decision of the award was made by a committee of teacher. Teachers from each grade will gather and submit their recommendation. Each quarter, there are a number of students nominated for the award. It is not like what Mimi said that “everyone” will receive it.
We will see. Mommy is planning to attend the ceremony tomorrow morning. Wait for my update!!
