Binghamton Symphony Orchestra
Yesterday, mommy received a letter from Mimi’s band director, Mr. Allen.
He informed us that Mimi was one of the 6 students from Boynton Middle School that earned a spot in Binghamton Youth Symphony Senior Orchestra for 2013-14 performance season. This is a wonderful honor for students, especially for middle schoolers.
Mr. Allen is one of Mimi’s favorite teachers at school. He pushes Mimi very hard to work to her best. We can definately see Mimi blossom under his instruction. Because of that, we want to support Mimi to explore any opportunities that can further her band skills.
In reviewing the requirement to participate the audition, the students must commit to a weekly practice schedule for 3 hours (every Sunday from 3-6pm).
I guess that means we are going to kiss our Sunday good bye!!
