Remember Mimi and Lucy’s partnership?  Their franchise came to fruiation recently.  The night before we left for our trip to NYC, Mimi and Lucy were busy carrying out their business plan.

 

They made 40 copies of flyers — all hand-made by themselves.  (Sorry, Mommy did not tell you we have the color copier at my office.   I thought this actually will teach you a better lesson of hard work).  They have their timing right — to make the flyers on Friday and distribute these to our neighborhood before Saturday.  This way, people can contact them over the weekend and they can start planning for their business for the following weekend.

Guess who was there to escort these two beautiful girls to distribute the flyers?  Their mommy….

 

 

 

 

Their hard work actually yields interests within our neighborhood.  People were asking if they are willing to walk dogs, to baby-sit (of course they are not old enough).  After consulting with mommies, they have decided to start with plant science (watering plant) before moving into animal science (dogs and babies).

 

On August 9, Mimi received an email:

 

Hello Jordan and Lucy,

 

I was wondering if we could get together to discuss the possibility of your doing plant watering for us later this week.  Something unexpected has arisen, and we have to leave Wednesday afternoon until Sunday.  Is there any chance we could meet today after 5:30?  If not, you could stop by and my husband would show you areound on Tuesday, August 10th.  We live at 27 XXXX Way.

Hello Jordan,

I cannot be here tomorrow night, but my husband will be here.  He can show you what to do.  If you are able to collect our mail on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, that would also be a big help.  We will have the plants out on the back porch, and you can use a hose there.  I hope this will make the job easy! 

I’ll try to have instructions for you tomorrow.  If you have some idea of a fair price for your work here, please let us know.

So Tuesday night, Mimi and Lucy went to Mrs. Bishop’s house to learn more about the job expectations.  They stayed there for about 20 minutes and came home with a big smile.  This is the first business deal that they landed.
