My Brother Martin
Mommy got free tickets to see a play called — My Brother Martin. The play was based on the story written by Christine King Farris, sister of Martin Luthur King. Since Mimi was learning about American civil right and constitution on her 4th and 5th grade curriculum, I thought it will be great to have her see the play.
Of course, we invited our good friend, Ania. Mimi was having a play date with Ania the night before and had dinner at their house. They visited their gardan in the backyard and also harvested the tomatos and red peppers from the neighbor’s green house.
The play was weavered with sign-along story lines, plus the interactions with audience.
Mimi was reading the book after the show.
