You Will Never Know What God Will Send To You — An Unexpected Visitor

Wednesday was such a busy day for us.  After all the activities (ear piercing, band practice and constructions), we moved on to our normal pace of life.

After Mimi went to bed, it was the time for Mommy to relax at the end of the day.  As I was sitting in the living room and having a good time with my on-line video viewing, I heard some very small but consistent noise.  I started looking around and tried to identify the source of the noise.  What was that?

As I looked closer, I found an unexpected visitor to our house, a flying squirrel.

At first, it looked pretty cute.  We had some interesting encounters at the top of the fire place.

Another close up picture.

And on the wall.  It was a very good wall climber.

After a while, I found that this little guest had no intention of leaving.  I was getting impatient because it’s my time to sleep. I was not going to have someone (or something) like this under my roof when I sleep.

It was late at night and no one could help me (including 911).  I had to solve the problem on my own.

I got my choices of weapon:  rubber band.

The vacuum machine.

And a long stick.

After hours of fighting, I realize that I couldn’t get to it effectively. I had to close up my french door and sliding door on living room and dining room, hoping that I could contain this creature in the confined space.

I left about 5 messages on my terminator’s voice mail late at night.  I guess he sensed my desperation so he came first thing in the morning.

We found that this poor creature was shivering under china cabinet.  It didn’t take much for him to grab this little thing.

I guess being chased by a crazy woman late at night for hours realy took a lot out of this thing.

See my “wing”?

Another close up picture before this being transported back to the wild (at least 2o miles away from the house).
