We Made It To Detroit Airport

I was really worried about the snow storm in Ithaca tnat could potentially get in our way to home.  As the night progressed, the snow accumulation didn’t happen as expected.  Mommy stayed up most of the night watching the weather situation and calling the airline company and the airport to check on the operating status.

 

At 4:30am, the taxi arrived on time.  It was pretty calm outside.  There was no snow nor wind.  However, it was REALLY cold.

 

There were quite a few people in the airport already.  We finished checking in.  That got us that much closer to home……

 

Mimi was energetic bright early in the morning.  After going through the security clearance,

 

 

 

she started working on her homework assigned by Mrs. Patterson.  She started with math first.

 

 

 

Then reading.

 

 

 

We both slept through most of the journey on the our way to Detroit.  Mimi now is old enough to show me the way.

 

 

 

Reading from the monitor is no longer a challenge for her.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now we are sitting comfortably in the lounge waiting for our flight at noon.

 

 

 

Mimi was playing card game with Mommy.  It was fun.
