A Sunday Afternoon with Callie
Sunday morning, Mimi went to the church with Callie’s family. The girls came back at around 11:30am. We have a full day planned ahead of us….
These girls dressed up for the church service. Mimi was wearing Callie’s dress.
They both applied a thin layer of sprinkle eye shadow. Can you see?
Our girl is dressed up for the afternoon.
We went for brunch first. The girls wanted to sit in front of the bar table so they can get to have TV right in front of them. Luckily, a table was cleared near by. Or else, we will be sitting on the bar stool.
We were playing game throughout the lunch. The girls wanted to play the “guessing game”, not the easiest one for mommy.
Guess some people like to drink from the big straws.
Before we left, Mimi didn’t forget to snitch some mint candies.
We went to the Science Center next. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon with girls who had full leve of energy to burn.
There are difference body features that you can check, such as whether or not you can roll your tongue, the size of your forehead, etc.
Of course, Mimi will go for the ultimate challenge — the wood block bridge. It has been hard for us to do thsi successfully.
Guess today is no exception.

The girls wanted to get something from the gift shop. They have a budget of $5.00 each. Unfortunately, they couldn’t find anything they like within their budget.
Just as we were ready to leave, there was a chemistry workshop coming up. Of course, we wanted to see what is going on.
They had a variety of hands on chemistry projects. Below, they were demonstrating how to push a stick through the balloon without blowing it up.
Callie was waiting for CO2 bubble to drop.
When it dropped, it became air immediately.
Now it is Mimi’s turn to drop.
And she waited…. Unfortunately, Mommy didn’t catch the moment when it dropped….
The girls were sticking their hands into the “artificial snow”.

The trick is to put ointment at the tip of the stick to seal the air and make the penetration easier.

The girls were playing their balloon on their way out.
The contest is to keep the balloon on the air while they dress.
Not surprisingly, both balloon were gone as they went outside. It was pretty windy there.
To end the play date, we went to Friendly for an icecream treat.
