Mimi’s First Day to School
Today is the first day of school. Like most of the uprising 6th graders, ours was excited yet anxious with the new beginning of her middle school.
As most of you know, she had a little “accident” last week — just before the beginning of the school day. She was concerned about how she looks with her limited mobility. Mommy is more concerned about her getting around with stairs and hallway with the rest of the population. So mommy made a visit to school last week to see the school nurse and explained the situation. Rosemary Collins, the school nurse, is a very warm lady. She asked me to take Mimi to see her first thing in the morning so she could help her.
Instead of taking the school bus, mommy is driving Mimi to school today.
Our princess woke up bright and early this morning. Too early that she ended up with nothing to do but wait for the time to leave.
At least, this is a good sign that someone likes to go to school.
No school bus arrived yet. So the front lot was quite empty.
The students are asked to lined up at the front entrance to receive their home room assignment.
After getting that, Mimi was taken to the Mrs. Collin’s office.
She has quite a few things to carry. Mrs. Collins asked her to put everything in the back pack. She will assign a student to assist Mimi to carry her belongings.
Mimi’s room assignment is with Mrs. Evans in Room C204.
It is as heavy as it looks…… With all the school supplies, her lunch bag and her folder.
After she receive the instruction from Mrs. Collins, Mimi is taken to cafateria with the rest of the students for the grand opening.
See my little girl?
My baby, good luck to you in the first day of school!!
