An Afternoon with Elizabeth — Tea Time
Saturday afternoon, Teri (Elizabeth’s mom) invited the drawing class to their house for an English tea time. It has been a few months since the group was together from the drawing class. Elizabeth, Jordan and Lucy are all in middle school (6th grade). Emma now is 4th grade. The girls are all excited about the opportunity to get together…..
Teri really did a great job preparing for the tea time. The moms have our own table and the girls have their own.
Each mom has our own tea pot and tea set. The pastry and fruit were beautifully decorated. We have sliced apple seasoned with cinnamon, smoked salmon with spices on toaster cracker, cucumber with cream sauce and fruit plate (strawberries and water melon). Cathy (Emma’s mom) also baked a beautiful small cake.
A close up look of our after tea time treats. Aren’t they beautiful?
The girls also have their own special treats. Aside from the cucumber slices, they also have peanut butter snacks.
Elizabeth insists using real china with her friends. Therefore, all the girls were using the England bone china for their afternoon tea. This is much better than what we had from the Plaza Hotel in NYC years ago (when Mimi was still in diaper).
Of course, the girls wanted to have a good time with Wii.
And they did.
And here are the moms from the drawing class.
Here is Elizabeth searving tea for her friends.
This is such a treat for Jordan before heading home to continue working on her Blyde River project…… Thank you Teri, for a wonderful afternoon for the girls!!
