Mimi’s First Indian Food Experience
This weekend was really busy for all of us. We started the weekend with Mimi’s first visit to a local Indian restaurant. Mommy and Mimi have not been a big fan to Indian food. However, daddy really enjoys the spices and had another taste sometimes last week from a company event.
Mimi was volunteering for a school event on Friday afternoon until 7pm. By that time, she was starving for pizza. There was a really good pizza place and an indian restaurant close by. At the last minute, we decided to explore a brand new territory.
Daddy was quite familiar with the menu. We ordered Indian fried chickend, Nan (their fried bread), and something that none of us can explain (made in chickend and covered with red sauce). Of course, mommy must order their famous mango lassi (Indian yogurt drink).
We brought pizza and wings from next door. Unlike most of other restaurants, the owner of the Indian restaurant welcome patrons to bring food from elsewhere. I guess she knows if she doesn’t accept that, she will lose quite a bit of customer base.
Mimi tried their lassi but wasn’t too impressed. She finsihed all her pizza and most of the wings.
She also tried some of the chickend dish and the indian long rice. “Not bad” she said.
There were three different kinds of dipping sauces for the fried chickend.
Since mommy just recovered from a recent stomach flu, she didn’t sample too much. If you ask me, I will probably stay with somewhere I am familiar…. at least with food.
Eventually, we did pretty well. We almost finished everything….
