Mimi’s first gymnastic competition of the season — Mock Meet

Sunday afternoon, Mimi was having her first gymnastic event for the season.  She is having her mock meet.  A mock meet is a qualifying event to make sure that you are scored high enough to be able to compete for the season.

 

Because of her injury, she was not able to participate the full beam routine but managed to pull the rest in place. 

 

Mimi has been a pretty self-sufficient girl.  She changed into her leotard, combed her hair, and got everything ready on her own.  We only need to help with the final touch up.  Guess we are lucky!!

Her buddy, Callie wanted to come with her to see her meet.  Even though Callie “retires” from gymnastic, she is still very interested in the events and keeps contact with her old friends.

After the meet, these two girls were starving.  We took them to a Italian buffet called “Sammy”.  It’s a bit odd to have your “lunch” at 3pm in the afternoon.  But soon after they finished, they starting having fun — with whatever they can find.

 

 

 

They discovered that the silverwares were “bendable”.  Not sure what the materials were but these two were having a great time.

 

 

 

 

 

After we got home, mommy used the left over stuffing from yesterday to make more dumpling.  these became our dinner (late at 8pm).  This wrap up our busy weekend…..
