Mimi got an “Honor Roll” — 榮譽榜 (後記)
Mimi brought home her report card for the 1st marking period (there are 4 marking period for the academic year). Her academic performance was quite well. She received pretty high scores on most of the subject.
Each teacher assigned particular remarks on the report card. Mostly, she received “high quality homework” or “great attitude”, “pleasant to work with”. However, Mrs. Evans, her social study teacher, said Mimi was “a little too chatty” in the classroom.
Hmmmmmm….. Maybe she got that from her mom? I guess I need to work with her on that a bit.
Mommy also noticed that she is listed on the “honor roll” at school. From time to time, mommy saw people driving vehicles with a sticker at the back of the car with “My Child is on Honor Roll in XXX School”. I always thought that was a part of the fund raising efforts from school. Parents donate money and will receive the sticker to put on the vehicle. Apparently, honor roll is a prestigious academic standing for high performer in middle and high school. Depending on the size of the school, it’s awarded to the top certain percentage of students.
Good job Mimi. Hope you will keep working hard and enjoy the fruit from your hard work!!
