Mimi’s Family Consumer Science Cooking Project — The REPORT
Remember the cooking project Mimi did a few weeks ago? Click here if you haven’t read it.
That was only the Part I of her homework. After making the meal, she needs to record all details into a report format. The report is due on 12/2. Mimi is taking the holiday weekend to work on her report.
Mommy printed out the photos she took (and mostly was on the blog) so Mimi can choose the ones she want for her report.
Doesn’t she look like a busy editor in a publishing company?
When daddy was busy working on his turkey, Mimi was working on her report.
She also learned the correct spelling of “raspberry” (and so did I).
Ingredient: 3 shit? Oh My God!! What is she making?
Haha. She didn’t know how to spell “shiitake” mushroom (one of the ingredient for her hot and sour soup). She finished the sentence in half and went for the dictionary. I thought it was funny so took this picture. Want to try? Three shit soup.
Here is her report………. Not much decoration but the content is solid.
Her five course meal menu.
They also need to analyze the nutrition from the ingredients.
Most importantly, they need to create the recipes, in their own words, for each of the meal they made.
Cucumber salad.
Hot and sour soup (you see the 3 shiitake mushroom?)
Dumpling.
Fruit salad.
Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Her shopping list.
The help Mimi needed to make this a success? Her MOMMY!!
Daddy and I were the privileged guests invited to her private dinner party.
In exchange, the guests will also need to provide “constructive” feedback. Daddy was pretty quiet about what he can say. After being asked by Mimi several times, he said:
“I think your food was very juicy.” said Daddy.
“What do you think was juicy?” asked Mimi
After pausing for a while, finally he said……
“the soup…..”
?????????????????????????
And the chef will need to spell out her own feedback to the meal. This concludes her cooking project.
Bravo, Mimi. I look forward to the next great meal!!
(Mimi: You will have to wait for a long time. I am not making one unless I have another homework assignment.)
