Girls’ Math Circle

Girls’ Math Circle is a student organization at Boynton Middle School.  The leader of the club is a parent from Mimi’s classroom.  She works at Cornell as a faculty member and has been devoted to bring up girl’s interests and aptitude in math and technology field.

Every weekend, she volunteers to teach math outside of the classroom curriculum.  Their materials are beyond what the girls are learning.  Parents take turn hosting the meeting at their house.

Mommy volunteered to host this week.  Instead of doing that at our house, Mommy found a classroom in downtown so this is where we are having our class tonight.

At the end of the class, we provided dinner (pizza, wings and vegetable plate and drink).  To our surprise, we have more kids with vegetarian and kosher diet.  Vegetable plate was gone first.
