Mimi’s Science Project with Lizzy

Sunday afternoon, Lizzy dropped by to work with mimi on their science project.  They needed to pick one Olympic event and study the motion and applied what they learn on different forces to these movements. 

 

Sounds easy?  You will really need to take these movements apart and determine which one will bring the most gravity and other rich discussions.  They will also need to record those movements to show in class.  These two decided to not only do the recording, but also design a skit (a little performance) to do a demonstration in class.  Mimi also plans to bring her trophy, leotard, grib for a show-and-tell.

 

Because they have so many projects due this week, the science teacher decided not to require this project.  Instead, this is a project they can work on for extra credit, if they choose to.  I am really touched that these two girls worked so hard even for an extra credit.

At the end, these two were hungry (of course)!!  They continued on after finishing their dinner….
