Empty Nester?

As mentioned earlier, Mimi went to the field trip with Boynton Middle School band and orchestra group.  The group left at 4am on Saturday morning and didn’t arrive until after midnight.  This left a whole day to mommy and daddy to experience what it feels like to be empty nest.

 

What did we do with the valuable day? 

 

Shopping?   Not really!!

 

Resting?  Not much!

 

Mommy scrubbed all bathrooms and toilets.  She also did two huge loads of laundry.  Saturday was a beautiful day outside.  So she hang all the laundry in the backyard.

 

 

As for daddy, he took the opportunity to mow the growing lawn again.  This time, it’s the front and the back yard.

 

 

 

 

You can smell freshly cut mint in the afternoon. 

 

 

To embrace the good weather, mommy opened up all the windows and doors throughout the house, including grandpa and grandma’s room.

 

 

Before we went to meet our friends, we swing by our old house to do a bit clean up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I guess that is a snapshot of our retirement life…..
