Daddy Can’t Make It Until Sunday
We heard from daddy earlier that he will not arrive until Sunday (instead of Saturday)….. 
He needs to go to Tainan’s plant to help with a last minute emergency.
When he accepted this assignment, I know the job will be very demanding and take a lot of energy out of him. For me, being self sufficient becames a must. It is not a desirable quality any more. It was very disappointing for Mimi and I that daddy had to stay in Japan a week longer than planned.
Being together for this many years, he could sense my frustration even from the other side of the Pacific Ocean. As expected, we had our heated argument over emails and phone calls.
I guess sometimes we all focus too much on our own vulnerability and forgot that other people have their own need as well. Being apart from Mimi hurts daddy the most. It is not an easy decision for him to postpone his trip. It must be a good reason there to outweigh his desire to come back. To be his supportive partner, I will need to trust that he will make the best decision for all of us. I believe he has the best interest of Mimi by heart and will not do anything to jeopardize that.
Daddy, we have a very long marathon ahead of us. Your support and encouragement will equip me to face challenges ahead of us. I will do my best to make sure everything goes smoothly here so you have nothing to worry about. Years from now, we can look back and know that we made a good decision.
Hope everything goes well in Tainan. Mimi and I still plan to have a GREAT time in the big apple.
